Tapestry is the heavy woven fabric used for the walls. For sometimes it was neglected for wall decorations but nowadays it is gaining popularity again. People like the classical tapestries instead of modern one.  In the classical tapestries there is so deep and vast variety of arts that you are not confined to a single one.  The themes they portray are very lively depicting humans, animals, gods and nature.

There are four types of classical arts which are influencing the modern era art. They are medieval ages, the renaissance, the neo-classical era and the baroque time period.

The medieval time art depicts the historical affairs and happenings during 18th and 19th centuries. Most woven arts were of hunting scenes, knights, unicorns and members of elite social class. The things used for tapestries at that time were mostly, cotton, silk, wool and linen.

The renaissance art has some influence of medieval ages. It also shows knights, noblemen and romantic themes. However it was more of scientific and intellectual type. Large wrought iron wall décors can also be found in this era. The Manta, the Promenade and the verdure cascade are some examples of the renaissance art.

Neo-classical and Baroque time period is from 1570 to 1720. This art created beautiful tapestries depicting kings, knights, war ground scenes, religious practices and other historical events. They just add to the decorative iron wall plaques the beauty of tapestries.

All these classical arts are intertwining the contemporary wall art. People are mixing the classical styles with the modern styles and creating a beautiful era of yet another type of art.
