We were told by our computer repairman that we needed to get a new server. I figured that we would just call and have them fix the old one like many times before and then we would go another six months without any issues. According to the computer man though, this used bladecenter server has seen better days.

He said that if we wanted to get another used bladecenter that was not so old, then we could probably save thousands over purchasing a new one. I figured that this was probably our only option since we did not have the funds to cover the cost of a brand new server.

I asked him to search with his distributors for a used bladecenter that was in great shape, and he said he would try and find one. He called us back about a day later and told me that he was having trouble finding a bladecenter but he had located a used pseries server that had been totally refurbished and was being sold for a great price. He told me the price and I told him to go ahead and get it.

I wanted the used pseries installed immediately since we had already been down for two days, and the whole office was at a standstill, which means that we were losing money by the hour. We needed to get back to work, to pay for the new server.
