I have always wanted to put awnings in the back side of our home. My two sons loved playing outdoors, but I don’t want them basking under the sun for the whole day. I’ve seen some sun screens that my cousin has at her home, the kind of which is retractable, and I felt inspired of having that same pull back awning.  Something that we could hide away when we don’t need it. My husband and I talked over about adding outdoor umbrellas for play and recreation, especially for the children, and he agreed. He said he wanted a convertible one so it wouldn’t have to be fixed outside of our home when we don’t need it.

We went out that weekend and went to an awning shop. There were so many options that we were quite overwhelmed. I’ve found many color combinations for the canvass covers and there were a lot to choose from, it took me some time to choose blue awnings. We admired the color and the new look on our house when it was already attached. I loved how my boys cold play outside now without being drenched in the sun’s heat. I’m looking forward to having a party too! The sun shade looks great.
