I wanted to give mom and dad something different for their anniversary. I am happy that they’re celebrating 45 years of marital bliss for this is quite a feat especially now that everyone that we know is either separated or divorced. 

My parents are fun-loving people and they love teasing each other.  They are willing to try out new stuff together and I think that is one of their secrets that made them last this long.  I scoured the malls and shops in the city searching for that perfect gift but to no avail. I was getting quite desperate so I went online to look for a gift to give them. 

The Internet has been my source for everything that I could not buy or find locally.  After a few hours of browsing, I stumbled upon this site that sold funny t shirts.  I found the designs to be really entertaining. 

I visualized them wearing the t shirts and I was sure mom and dad would love wearing one of these.  So I went ahead and ordered a couple of shirts for them and had it delivered to my house.  I did not even bother wrapping up the shirts for I want them to try it right away which they did the moment that they got the gift. They were laughing at the statement printed on the shirt and wanted to show it off to their friends that night.

After five years of being together, I finally proposed to my dear fiancé. I prepared for that five years; I worked hard, I sacrificed even my pleasures and vices just to prove to her that with me, she is secured, financially secured but, things went wrong. She refused and gave back the ring and all the things I gave her. Since then, I was tempted to sell wedding ring that supposedly intended for her.

 I did not tell her about the things I prepared for our “wedding”. I collected her favorite stuffs and some other things that would make her happy. Now that she’s gone, I found no reason to be happy or to work hard for the future because she is my future. I planned to move out to other country to heal the pain I am bearing.  It hurt me more when I saw her old jewelry I my closet. “I can sell old jewelry of her” I told myself. Why not? Since I cannot reach her, I will sell it.

Among all the competitors, I found this company very reliable because of the 30 years of excellent service they provide to their clients. When I received the gold kit, I put all the old jewelries and even my hurts into it. When I received my check, I was surprised when I just expected to get the precise amount but, I got a big amount of check.

It was my way of healing. I get rid of my past and it enabled me to fly to other country.

My sister was telling me how she wanted to have a car of her own.  She was tired of borrowing mom’s car because sometimes she gets stalled in the house for mom’s got the car with her.  So I decided to give her one on her birthday.  It was not going to be a brand new car because I could not afford to give her that yet.  I went to a second hand car shop where my friend bought hers and chose a car for my sister. After checking it up, they just told me that it just needed an oil change which was not a problem at all.

I could not forget how my sister’s face lit up after giving the keys to her own car.
